posting of three (3) notices should suffice. Additionally, the same code section
requires no such notice for a special meeting called to “deal with an emergency
involving injury or damage to persons or property or the likelihood or such
injury or damage”.

Latest Times News Article Today

The following article and photo appeared in today's issue of the Times News:

On May 4, the Jerome City Council voted to name its newest city park Modern Woodmen Park. The unanimous vote recognized the significant contribution of volunteer hours and resources to the city’s parks made by Modern Woodmen of America and its local members. The park, which is currently under development, is located immediately north of the railroad tracks on Lincoln Avenue, at the Marshall Well area. When completed, the park will have more than an acre of grass, benches, a gazebo and several pieces of playground equipment.

Planning and Zoning Meeting Canceled for June 22

The regularly scheduled Planning and Zoning Commission meeting for June 22 has been canceled, however the Commission will meet on June 29 for a special meeting. At this special meeting, the Commission will consider a resolution to amend the City of Jerome Comprehensive Land Use Plan to include the Capital Improvement Plan and Impact Fee Study. If the Commission approves the amendment, then the resolution will be considered by the City Council in July. For any questions concerning this meeting, please call Micah Austin at 208-324-8189.

City Wide Clean Up Day a Great Success!

The City Wide Clean Up Day was a success! The City repainted the orange La Perla building on West Main Street a less garish color and cleaned up trash and other debris around town. Thank you to all who participated and donated paint, primer, and other materials used. Pictures of the newly painted building are forthcoming.
