Type of meeting: SPECIAL: Idaho Code 67-2343 requires “such notice as is appropriate to the
circumstance” of a special meeting. Publication in the Times News at least
5 days in advance would seem to be adequate. Where this is not possible,
posting of three (3) notices should suffice. Additionally, the same code section
requires no such notice for a special meeting called to “deal with an emergency
involving injury or damage to persons or property or the likelihood or such
injury or damage”.
